A few days ago, a new generation of Mercedes-Benz S-Class has been released. Although it has been controversial, as the flagship of the family, it represents the future design direction of Mercedes-Benz.
Recently, foreign media have taken spy photos of the new C-class. This is the first time that the front face of the car has been fully exposed. The whole is like a new S-class scaled down.
Although the picture is a bit blurry, most of the details can be seen. For example, the new car’s oval-shaped center grid and a dumbbell-like surround, the design concept is the same as the new S-class, and the inverted triangle headlights are impressive.
In addition, there are two raised ridges on the engine compartment cover of the car, indicating its entry-level and sports-oriented model positioning.
In addition to the same appearance as the new S-class design concept, the other biggest change in the new C-class is the interior.
According to the spy photos, the new C-class inherits the new S-class design style and adopts a split large-screen design. The air conditioning control panel is integrated under the central control screen, which is expected to have tactile feedback, and the iconic circular air outlet is placed above the central control screen.
In terms of configuration, the new generation of C-Class will also upgrade Mercedes-Benz’s latest MBUX infotainment system.
According to previous news, the new car will be built based on the MRA2 rear-drive platform. Power is expected to have a series of four-cylinder, six-cylinder engines and plug-in hybrid models, and there will also be AMG versions. In the future, the main competitors will be BMW 3 Series and Audi A4L.
